Bread Making from China and Africa

We did a little fieldtrip type expedition at a fellow homeschoolers home.  It was so fun!  We learned about China and Africa and how hard it is in these countries for people.  We also made some wonderful bread/buns/loafs from these two countries.  It was a great afternoon of fun and fellowship.  Here are a few pictures of the fun.  The baked goods tasted really great too!

Chopping the Almonds for the loaf.

Chinese Almond Bread Dough -- we made this recipe -- two loafs.

Mrs. Morris deep frying the Diphaphata (Stove Top Muffins)

Mrs. L, making the Mahamri (Swahili Buns)

All the baking in between.

Finished products to take home and enjoy!

We also had the pleasure of seeing a deer in their backyard.  So cool!  Here is a picture of it.

See the deer hiding there in the trees.
